Fabrication
Our teams can fabricate floor panels and body sections in house if panels cannot be obtained aftermarket. Panels can be fitted and spot welded as needed to match original factory use. Our focus on detail is very important to give that factory look.
Welding
Our welders are the finest, experienced in plasma cutting, Brazing, Tig welding along with Stick and Mig welding. Each craft welding is used for a specific area on a vehicle. For example we may use Stick welding for chassis work, Tig welding for fine body panel work and Mig for in between work such as supports. It’s the clean and even appearance we are looking for with the strength your ride will need.
Rust Repair
When preparing an old vehicle for restoration it is important to remove rotted rusty metal and replace with new welded repairs. Floors, Rocker panels, chassis and fender wells are the most common areas that will rot causing a failure in structural integrity and a driving hazard. In severe cases it is possible for the doors to open on a turn or bump in the road especially in convertibles. Our focus in the restoration process is to deliver a vehicle that can be driven with stability in mind.
Body Work
Whether we are changing body parts or straightening dented panels, our professional metal shapers and body part installers will create crisp and straight lines with even spacing on hoods, doors and trunk lids. Using the best filler products for leveling and blocking is important to finish with a smooth and uniform body free of waves and ripples which if not done will be seen in the finished paint job
Painting
Painting is done in a clean and well maintained spray booth which offers safety for the painter and a more contaminate free finish. Paint products can be selected by type such as Single stage, Base coat Clear coat in Urethane or enamel. Codes for color are typically found on door jambs on late models or in older models from color charts. Paints can be selected by scanning the original paint color, before it is stripped off the body, for an authentic OEM color. Custom colors can be chosen to fit your mood as well.
Engine and Drive train rebuilding
If it is speed you want we can help. If you like it the old fashioned way that is cool too. There is something about the balance of an old 1937 whatever engine that is pure and simple that passes the still glass of water on the engine test. We can rebuild the old smoker and make some improvements while we have it in pieces. Straight Eights, Straight Sixes and V-8s can rebuilt with original OEM or if needed, custom made replacement parts such at pistons, rings and more. Manual Transmissions are the most common on the 1920’s all the way to the 60’s and we can fix most of them. Our goal is to deliver a dependable running vehicle which is safe to drive and as “original” as you want.
